Prayer for My Beloved

Gracious Heavenly Father, One who is our comforter even in midst of bereavement.  Our constant guide even during the trouble times of life. We adore and glorify you for your grace, mercy, and everlasting love.

We must acknowledge that we fall short of your glory from time to time.  We even question you for the reasons why.  However, farther along, we’ll know all about it; and farther alone, we’ll know the reasons why. Meanwhile, we have your tender, loving patience as our guide.

We are so thankful for the life of our beloved. Her life was our gift from you!  Her loving spirit has been a blessing to so many! We cherished her in life as she will be cherished in eternity. We even embrace the comforting words that you provided to a weeping Martha after the passing of her brother Lazarus: "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."  Lord, we know that absent from the body means to be present with the Lord!

Lord, I am so grateful that you touched her heart to the point that she became a believer herself!  I am so glad that she was redeemed!

Now Lord, we continue to seek your tender guidance.  Please Lord, help and bless us in our moments of sorrow.  We recognize you as the God of all comfort.   We give you the praise and the glory.  In Jesus name, we pray.  Amen
