Laboring Together with God (1 Corinthians 3:1-9) (with sermon video)

Apostle Paul, in writing to the Corinthian Church, addressed some concerns in regards to conflicts and division in the life of the Church. Paul expressed that these conflicts that were among them, were derived from the spirit of jealousy that even lead to arguments in their fellowship. He asserted that these arguments that they were having by reason of their jealousy, were only expressions of their spiritual immaturity. Paul pointed out their immaturity by saying, "I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for solid food." In ministering to the Corinthian Church, Paul felt that he had to minister to them as babes in Christ. After all, when feeding a baby, one has to be careful of what one feeds the baby. You can not feed a baby with solid food. If you do, you will cause the baby to choke. Therefore, Paul was feeding them carefully, by sharing spiritual food that was proper for babes in Christ. Obviously, Paul views arguments, divisions, unresolved conflicts as evidence of their spiritual immaturity.
