Where do you put your trust?

Psalms 73:28 But is is good for me to draw near to God:  I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.

At the very beginning of this particular Psalms, the Psalmist recognized the goodness of the Lord.  The Lord has been good to us all. Especially to those who keep their mind stayed on Him. Yet, it seems as if the Psalmist quickly shifts his acknowledgement of God's goodness over to his personal despair.  It most definitely seems as if the Psalmist was close to the point of abandoning his faith in the Lord.  The Psalmist had momentarily lost his spiritual footing.

Have you ever found yourself questioning your life experiences?  We all have seen the prosperity of those who do not put their confidence in the Lord.  A good number of us have even heard others question why must the Godly suffer, while those who do not place their confidence in God seem to prosper.  It seems as if the ungodly have their hearts desire.  This can certainly shake one's confidence, and cause one's faith to waiver.

It is our life experiences that often causes us to raise even spiritual questions.  The answers to these questions depend on where we place our trust.  If you place your confidence in man, you will often be disappointed.  Yet, if you place your confidence in the Lord, you will not never be disappointed. Yes, even when you place your confidence in God, you will still have questions to arise.  But, by placing your trust in the Lord, the answers to those questions will come by and by.  A hymnologist wrote, "Temptations, hidden snares, often take us unawares, our hearts are made to bleed for a thoughtless word or deed; and we wonder why the test, when we try to do our best, but we'll understand it better by and by."

The Psalmist asserts that he did not understand the end of the ungodly until he entered in the Sanctuary of God (Psalm 73:17)!  Come on into the Lord's Sanctuary!  The House of Prayer!  Where the saints abide, and the worshippers praise the name of the Lord.  Draw nigh to Him, and He will draw nigh to you!  For so many reasons, it has been extremely good for me to place my trust in the Lord.  The Lord has been my joy in sorrow, and my hope for a better tomorrow.  I will declare the goodness of the Lord.  My question to you, where do you place your trust?
